My name is Gordon Atkinson. I'm the pastor and web
designer for Covenant Baptist Church.
If you are reading this, I can only assume that you are curious to
know something about me. That's understandable
I guess, so hear goes:
I'm 39 years old. My wife Jeanene and I went to
seminary together. Jeanene worked as a chaplain in a local hospital for 10 years. Now she and I run a
computer web design business out of our home. We have three little girls - 12, 8, and 4.
I opened my eyes one day and found myself called
to walk with people on the road to discovering and loving God. If I told you the whole story of how I
came to be a pastor, you would agree with me that God works in mysterious and wondrous ways.

I'm not a sharp dresser and can be rather forgetful at times. I
have a quirky sense of humor which I exercise with great passion. My
greatest desire is to make the bible stories come alive on Sunday the
way they seem alive to me during the week.
If one of the people of Covenant were to describe
me, I wish she would say this: "He knows all the children by name and preaches with integrity.
I think he really loves God."
I don't know if anyone would say that, but wouldn't it be great if they did?
